The Kieffer Ultrasoft breastplate is made from Kieffer's notably supple Ultrasoft leather, so it feels broken-in soft and sits kindly against the chest from the first ride. Like any good breastplate, it keeps the saddle from slipping back on hills and in faster work, and the adjustable martingale fork adds a steadying option for horses that get high-headed. Chrome fittings finish it neatly.
