We are a family-owned tack store, proudly run by a mother-daughter team who grew up competing in the hunters and jumpers. Countless early mornings at the barn and long weekends at horse shows shaped not only a career, but a way of life — instilling discipline, resilience, and heart.
At the center of that journey was a dedicated single mother who worked tirelessly to make it all possible. From driving to shows to waiting at the in-gate, she ensured her daughter could pursue her dreams in a demanding sport. That foundation of hard work, sacrifice, and belief is the cornerstone of One Eyed Equine today.
While in college, one of our owners purchased a horse named Ranger — a talented and unforgettable one-eyed gelding. His grit, trust, and determination left a lasting mark. When it came time to name the store, there was no question. One Eyed Equine proudly honors Ranger and everything he represented: heart over hardship and partnership over perfection.
After stepping into the professional hunter/jumper world, our family recognized a growing need in the equestrian community. As the industry shifted toward large online retailers, something meaningful was being lost — the personal connection, thoughtful guidance, and family-owned feel that make this sport so special. We set out to create a tack store that brings that feeling back.
