The FIR-Tech Pro Tendon Pad is an insert that mounts by Velcro inside the shell of a Catago stable boot, with the battery section on the outside. One button turns it on, off, and through three heat levels: green, blue, and red.
The pad works with Active Carbon fibres to produce long-wave infrared heat, reaching core temperature in a few minutes. Catago's stated aim is to support the body's own regeneration processes by increasing blood flow and reducing tension in muscle and connective tissue. It fits either side of work: preparing tendons before you ride, or as part of a horse care routine afterwards.
- Before riding: red, 15 to 20 minutes
- After riding: blue, up to 30 minutes, up to twice daily
- General use: blue or red, 15 to 30 minutes, up to twice daily
- Green: up to 40 minutes, depending on outside temperature
- European plug charger with North American converter included
Priced individually, not as a pair, and it needs a Catago stable boot shell to mount into.
