This is heavy winter horse wear rather than a shoulder-season rug. The outer is 1680D nylon and the seams are taped, so water stops at the stitching instead of wicking through it. Rated at 5000mm water pressure with 5000 mvp breathability, over a strong cotton lining and 500 gram fill.

The fittings are what you notice in February: adjustable double front closures with clip hooks and D-rings, a shoulder gusset so the horse can put his head down, cross surcingles and elastic leg straps. Reflective piping runs the edge, with a large reflex on the tail flap that finds a black horse in a dark field.
